The island, a 50 year antique bakery fixture, become cleaned, sanded, and placed back into use. To master a mixture of vintage and new, buy antique pieces first, then buy complementary new pieces. This kitchen embraces old global attraction with distressed cabinetry in unique colours. Custom features include antique 1850s stained glass doorways constructed into the pantry and dark timber panels at the fridge that make it appear like an arch top armoire. Mild partitions function a quiet backdrop for robust architectural elements, pine cabinets, and an island with a 2 inch thick mahogany pinnacle.
